Adoption drives ROI.  Done well, adoption creates a snowball effect with momentum growing exponentially as adoption increases. Without adoption, investments are wasted.

Projects to implement new technology typically focus on obtaining maximum functionality for a set price. They fail to address all ingredients needed for successful adoption such as usability, data enrichment, enablement and change management.
